John Pring's weekly Disability News Service
This week's welfare stories by the passionate John Pring. If you're sick or disabled and don't read it from John first, it probably wasn't news. For John's own site, you can bookmark : http://disabilitynewsservice.com/
The minister for disabled people has again been accused of using misleading government statistics to “stoke up antagonism”towards disabled benefit claimants.
The government has been criticised for cutting funding for the adaptations disabled people need to live independently in their own homes, just as it introduces its controversial new “bedroom tax”.
The attorney general is considering whether to ask the court of appeal to lengthen the prison sentence handed to a man who killed a disabled, gay teenager in an apparent hate crime.
Survivors of the Winterbourne View abuse scandal will soon have access to their own dedicated helpline, thanks to funding from the Department of Health.

ReplyDeleteThe government will continue to abuse in one way or another the sick and disabled for the rest of their lives of that I'm certain
ReplyDeleteAnd when their all dead there'll just go on to next group of the weakest and from their only god knows and at the end of the day you'll just be left with a conservative David Cameron estate agent/double glazing type of cloned people and that's about it
And don't worry, David Cameron is not some perfect specimen to be cloned. His son was more perfect, but he sadly died, but silly boy David is nowhere near perfect, he is just a Tony Blair impersonator, but Blair was a better liar.
DeleteHi Nick, good comment. I just have one question. When you say 'the rest of their lives', do you mean the rest of the sick and disabled peoples lives or the rest of the governments lives? I only ask because if you mean the rest of the sick and disabled peoples lives i hope that's a long time, but if you mean the rest of the governments lives then that's impossible, because the government are all zombies who already died a thousand years ago and who are reborn every so often to feed on the blood they need whilst they sleep. Next time you see an MP, check out the vampire teeth, purpose made to pierce straight through your jugular. Please don't have nightmares. Just don't rush to buy any houses or windows from anyone who calls himself 'Dave'.
ReplyDeleteI meant martin the sick and disabled people' their the ones from now on that will have face for the rest of their lives an uncertain future whoever is in power as we have seen from the days of Mrs thatcher theirs no going back
ReplyDeleteAll that's happened is a free for all with an overall mentality of take leaving the long term sick and disabled to pick up the bill
Thankfully a few mp's did not turn up in the commons today to pay their respects for Mrs thatcher. Sure she changed the country and it's thinking but in my mind not for the best in which she fell well short
Had she still been in power today she would be gunning for north Korea to fall into line but thankfully she's not but her legacy will always live on forever
Thanks. I have never thought that Mrs Thatcher was so great. She was only a politician at the end of the day and what ever changes she implemented in parliament were what any politician could have done. I seriously hate the way MP's are bigged up. They all have over-inflated ego's and over-inflated wage packets. How can they expect us to treat them with respect or take them seriously? The mind boggles.
Deletemost of the mp's are thatchers children and all Mrs thatcher did was to say if your fit and well then just take in life and regrettably that's what the country did without any thought of the long term consequences
DeleteThe rest is histery with so many peoples greed in taking not only in this country but throughout the EU in which is on it's knees and will be for decades to come
Mrs Thatcher must have had a very saggy woo-haa with all the politician children she had. Lol. The serious side of this is, of course, the people that don't want to care won't care and the people who do want to care don't have much left to care with. But we do have people like Sue Marsh, who is much nicer than Mrs Thatcher ever was.
DeleteThatcher brought this country to it's knees, I lived through it and I will never forget her, for all the wrong reasons. I will not come out and say what I would do, but will just say it involves spitting and dancing.
ReplyDeleteMentally ill patients in Indonesia held in chains. this is the sort of thing that comes from the likes of conservatives ways of thinking just like in the old days the world today cant be free from pain and suffering all the time the likes of David Cameron and Mrs thatcher are around as there views are so forceful and narrow and indeed make the world a very dangerous place as they clash with the many other despots of the world
