Hallucinating "Though The Round Window"

How surreal have things become when Nigel Lawson, Geoffrey Howe and Leon Brittain, stalwart Conservative figures from the 80's, are voting against the more brutal elements of a so called 'compassionate conservative' government in 2012?

The distasteful truth is that neither proposals for PIP would have passed, nor would the social fund have been abolished without the Liberal Democrats who voted overwhelmingly with the government.*

When you have a bastion of all our childhoods not even bothering to turn up to vote on whether to keep National Insurance entitlement for profoundly disabled children and staunch conservative figures opposing other issues in their own government's Welfare Reform Bill we must ask ourselves what kind of opiate induced haze has led us to believe this is happening?

Are we hallucinating, is it a result of our exhausted, fevered brains or did Floella Benjamin from Playschool really vote more cruelly than Leon Brittain? I think we need more sleep because currently the idea that the 70's equivalent of Mr Tumbles didn't even bother to turn up to vote to keep benefit entitlement for disabled children is not one our brains can cope with.

  4. Floella Benjamin, eh? Damn. One legend blown out of the water.

Nobody likes a Lib Dem. They've all gone Tory, the sellouts.

Come the election, they're all gone. They'll be lucky if they don't all get chased out of town by mobs with pitchforks.

  6. well i never bought that big smiley nicey nicey bollocks meself...of the Limpdems or floella come to that...ah life through the blinkered window.Yep we will remember all of them come the election and as for rod liddle well i dont read the sun cos its rubbish(But i will look online)but i reckon we should all report the currant bun and its hate crime peddlers to the PCC in the vain hope that they might do something about it.BUT watching the bloody whitewash that is Leveson and drawing a comparison from that i really doubt they will but a battle is fought on many fronts so why not report this every time it appears.Sparticus must use every weapon and tactic and speaking of Sparticus i was
just reading Private Eye as i sit here in the throes of yet another sarc flare up and it has an excellent piece on page 29 in its In The Back section on atos unum and the trials and tribulations of poor Mr Tilbury(a civilian emergency call worker) who was shot by the police and Responsible Reform was mentioned in it too so well done Mr Ian Hislop and co and good luck Mr Tilbury in your recovery.WE should all read this excellent magazine as it tells it like it is on all aspects of govt.If only those that read the bollocks in the currant bun read this then maybe we would not have the likes of floella and fraud etc etc and camclegg wouldnt have a look in.There is an eye opening piece too called Friends in High Pay Grades about the remuneration committees and NOPE we sure as hell aint all in it together some of us are more in it than others only in thier cases its money in our cases its .....answers on a postcard to Cruella and Fraud attached to a brick and thrown through the blinkered and biased heartless shaped window.

  8. I'm afraid I tried to complain to the press complaints commission about Rod Liddle's previous article in the spectator and that was worse than the one in the sun and I got nowhere, they basically said he had done nothing wrong as he had slagged disabled people off and then said, 'but I may be wrong', this tiny sentence that would be missed by most who read the article unfortunately covers his back! the article is here http://www.spectator.co.uk/rodliddle/7277993/dr-liddles-casebook.thtml
I don't know what we have to do to fight these people. I even reported it to the police as inciting hatred which is a crime and although the officer I spoke to was nice and agreed with me, he said there was nothing he could do until the press complaints commission had answered as if they didn't consider there to be anything wrong with the article then the case would be thrown out of court if the police tried to prosecute due to the PCC saying it was acceptable, and that would be a waste of tax payers money which the police would get slated for. It would seem the PCC are in the pockets of the newspapers and Rod Liddle and his cronies seem to manage to write things in just such a way that it perpetuates lies and incites hatred but in a way that no blame can be put on themselves!

  9. Well he aint getting off that lightly. We should all contact the PCC and the sshittysun and anyone else we can think off and go after him too and say what we want like........and then add BUT i may be wrong.Lets buy some shares in it and turn up at shareholders meetings and voice OUR views...maybe that will get to em....ROD LITTLE I MAY BE WRONG BUT YOU ARE A C.....add what you want to next

  10. Just read Mr Liddles comments, is he for real obviously not.
Anyone with a hairdo like that cant be real can they?
Well the sun readers all 97 gazillion of them will be saying it just not right that people can claim benefits for being disabled and then get a car and a blue badge.
Well its not that simple (unlike the sun readers) forms have to be filled in medical records checked so on so forth.
But you know what i will be more than happy to swap my life for yours anyday of the week, having said that i dont want to become a bigoted sun reader, so ill stick with my disability.

  11. the government thinks that, as a disabled person I only need £125.40 per week to live on - I've been told I earn too much for pension credits.

So it's good to see Stephen Hester get a £900,000 bonus on top of his salary to incentivise his work at RBS

  13. I have composed an impromptu poem in (dis)honour of Ms Benjamin.

    Oh, oh, oh, oh, Flo
    Please say it ain't so
    That you're voting for woe.
Please stop it, whoa, whoa, who.
    How low can you go?
    Just say, say, no.
