DWP admits investigating 60 deaths since 2012

Enormous credit to John Pring for the unremitting pressure he has put on the DWP through Freedom of Information requests. This one has uncovered that the DWP have investigated SIXTY DWP related deaths since 2012. As a John McCardle from the campaign group Black Triangle points out, if the government had caused an accident in which 60 people had died, there would be a public outcry. The Prime Minister would almost certainly have to resign for being involved in the deaths of 60 of his citizens.

If this story isn't picked up by the mainstream media, they are as complicit in the outrageous cover up of this crisis as Iain Duncan Smith himself.

  1. 60 i have the names of many more i think 600 will be more the mark we know full well that there were 10600 up until 2012 and that’s a fact the UN have those details albeit the circumstances are not clear cut but the bottom line is that sick and disabled people were found fit for work but then died shortly after those are the facts

As to in what circumstances they died only a judge and a full inquiry would be able to get to the bottom of as none of us here were with the deceased at the time of death

an inquiry should one ever come about would last at least 20 years as the numbers involved are huge and every case would be different but none the less very important for the relatives in coming to terms into how their loved ones had died

well done sue for letting have this news and i have updated the UN on this matter

  2. Hello Sue.

I've been Tweeting this to MPs yesterday - all Labour - and not one reply.
Guardian journalists too - nothing from them either.
    Not impressed, frankly.

Still - I have been posting about this on flythenest.org over the weekend so I know it has been seen by at least some people.

Thank you for all you do, Sue.
