The question is at 0.5 % with 40% being found immediately fit for work, we are concerned that this might be too much.

The next 54% will have been found to have serious illnesses or disabilities, yet all theri support will go after just one year.

Only 6% will now qualify for long term support.

If people can work they should. If they genuinely can't, yet lose all state support, we just need look at again to make it fair. The system does need changing because there are too many different benefits and it’s just too complex.
I’m visually impaired and have sighted friends, none of them think I am a benefit scrounger so what planet do you people live on exactly?
What’s wrong with the big responsibility or the big society? Isn’t doing good things for others and being responsible for ones self a good thing?
Perhaps you don’t like the big society or the big responsibility because you’d rather be selfish and irresponsible?Free Teehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06654045913835356961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-20153482689882695532011-06-18T13:11:15.304+01:002011-06-18T13:11:15.304+01:00
sue marsh

I largely support a Universal Credit
I to support that sue but feel that everyone will lose out because of some very fine detail of getting everyone entitlements together as one is complicated

Myself for example don't pay income tax on my incapacity benefit as it dates before 2001 and am sure many others will find themselves in not knowing what their true entitlement is will lose out as these benefits in general are extremely complicated to work out across the board and if you yourself don't know what your doing it will be quite easy for someone at the DWP to get it wrong and you yourself will be none the wiser

Will it matter ?

yes it will as you will be getting an over payment which has to be paid back or a under payment in which you will lose out on and is normally only back dated 3 months should you realise that you have had a under payment

I don't believe the staff at the DWP are skilled enough to bring about the honesty and integrity in implementing the universal credit in a fair and just wayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-31984003995480880142011-06-18T12:02:02.882+01:002011-06-18T12:02:02.882+01:00
Anonymous said...

I'm sick to death of seeing people attack anything a "tory" says or anything a "labour" says as being bad; when they likely haven't read it or have read between the lines to suit their political persuasion.

I for my small part have been lobbying my local MP (did this ages ago) about the sick and disabled being "tainted" as scroungers as that to my mind is reprehensible.

Good job! Well done and thank you for your thoughtful posts!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
