I stumbled over your blog while doing my research and was wondering if you would be available for a short interview? I would really like to hear your thoughts. Just drop me an email at sarah_leo@ymail.com if you're interested, and I'll get back to you!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks a lot!

Sarah LeoSarah Leohttp://sarahleo.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-21880243947284106812011-06-19T15:59:09.799+01:002011-06-19T15:59:09.799+01:00The problem with the NHS in particular (and all pu...The problem with the NHS in particular (and all public services in general) is that when cuts need to be made it is the most vulnerable that suffer. When the Heath government added the admin layer to the NHS in the 70's to let medical staff concentrate on patient care it was heralded as *saving* the NHS from drowning in paperwork. Instead of cutting vital services they should dismantle administration and cut the salaries of non-medical CEOsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-73277697813469242582011-06-19T14:42:15.455+01:002011-06-19T14:42:15.455+01:00Hi Sue ~ I am so sorry to read this. What a short ...Hi Sue ~ I am so sorry to read this. What a short sighted and ridiculous decision. I wonder rather than simply being the result of crude cuts, is this linked into the Cambs Pathfinder initiative?

Given the Future Forum response last week highlighted the need for integration ...also specifically citing Cambs as being 'the one to watch', it does not bode at all well for the reforms anywhere.

On a purely financial basis I hope someone wakes up and realises that this will cost them rather than save money. On a patient care basis, I hope they soon realise that this before too many people suffer more than is needed.Jos Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01638654665413117395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-5662867435059579292011-06-19T10:49:46.125+01:002011-06-19T10:49:46.125+01:00Good post Sue, i rely on my nurses when i am havin...Good post Sue, i rely on my nurses when i am having a bad time, What is happening now is shared care and i have found that they keep batting it from one another Frustrating.

On another note Mr C has said we should stigmatise stay away dads, he just keeps alienating people all the time dont he, without knowing the full historyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4568034298343558962.post-34306141351446831082011-06-19T07:57:38.532+01:002011-06-19T07:57:38.532+01:00Co-author of the atlas, Dr Bethan Thomas, also fro...Co-author of the atlas, Dr Bethan Thomas, also from the University's Department of Geography, added: "Despite many people's fears of a bankrupt – or broken – Britain, this remains one of the richest countries on earth, but the rich have not taken their fair share of austerity."
Bankrupt Britain: An atlas of social change by Daniel Dorling and Bethan Thomas is published by The Policy Press on 23 May 2011 price £29.99 (ISBN 978184742 747 2)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
